Lori Greiner
Lori Greiner was a Chicago native born on the 9th of December 1969 on the Gold Coast. Greiner is the 2nd daughter of an investor father and a psychotherapist mother. Her parents divorced when she was 9 years old.Greiner studied journalism communications, television, and film at Loyola University Chicago. She also was a playwright and designer, which she later sold her own jewelry on the side.Greiner started her career by developing an earring organizer made of plastic with sliding rods that could neatly store up to 100 pairs of earrings. She created a prototype of the product, which was purchased by J.C. Penney before the holiday season.She declared that "she did not intend to be an inventor on a regular basis" however her success in the Home Shopping Network started her to pursue this path. Greiner joined QVC in 2000 and came up with several products. In 2012, Greiner became the Shark Tank host. Two years later her investment in Scrub Daddy which produces a texture changing household sponge was noted as a massive success. More than 2 million QVC sales in 2014.
