Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is an American-Lebanese barrister, human rights advocate and philanthropist. She was born Amal Ramzi Amuddin. When she graduated from Oxford University School of Law she embarked on an extensive and successful professional career within human rights as well as international law. Her prominent clients included countries like Armenia, which was fighting to recognize the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney was engaged, and was later was married to American actor George Clooney, instantly making her a household names in pop culture. Prior to this, she was well-known and loved in the legal world for consistently representing clients with skill and great success. Her work spans the spectrum of social justice, human rights, to representing multinational corporations during discussions or in court proceedings regarding federal regulations. In 2015, she is an attorney, a type of legal representative in British courts in London's Doughty Street Chambers.
